The History and Impact of Slavery in the United States (1619 - 2020)
It has been four 400 years since the institution of slavery began in the United States, and 155 years since the end of the devestating Civil War and yet the issues of racial injustice and inequality still haunt the American psyhe. In order to more fully understand why this problem seems to be so intractable is to examine the history of slavery in the United States and the ramifications that this history has had upon race relations up until the current era.
